Growing Your Hair Long? 4 Things You Already Know and Need to Trust Me On

I’m trying to grow my hair out but it seems to get worse and worse. This isn’t what I imagined…

Do your ends seem weak, thin and prone to breakage? Split ends have been the bane of women for ages. Here’s the good news: There are lots of things you can do to boost your hair health. And it’s not just cutting more off more often.

It’s best to give your hair the proper care when growing it out. So, if you are right at the beginning of the process, make sure to partner with an amazing stylist (like me!) who can help you through the process with all the right in-salon care, home routines and cute hairstyles (and extensions!) in the in between.

If you’ve already been growing it out and are realizing some TLC is in order, I can also help with nursing your hair back to health. My goal is the reduce the need for aggressive trimming by keeping hair strong, moisturized and shiny. They way your hair is trimmed and styled can also bring more natural movement, which is a big plus for healthy-looking and healthy-feeling hair.

What kind of “special care” are you talking about? Can’t I just wash it, dry it and put it in a ponytail?

Long hair needs just as much attention (in a different way) than short hair. This includes:

How old is too old for long hair?

There is no age cut-off for long hair. Hair often does thin when you reach a certain age. With proper care, good nutrition and a joyful disposition, women of age have been rocking long hair for centuries. If your hair is in good condition, has the right cut for you, the color looks vibrant, and (most of all) you are happy with it, why would you change it to conform to some societal norm? Conventional thinking is out of style… long hair on beautiful accomplished and experienced women never goes out of style.

How long is too long?

Simple. When your hair starts to look thin or damaged… that’s when it is too long. Did you know that hair naturally gets thinner as it grows? If you are doing little things that damage or stress it, it can start to look like a mess. If you are planning to grow your hair really long, please please please get with me now! Let’s take care of it as it grows, so you never get to that point. Bad hair is my nemesis and good hair is my passion, so I’m begging you to call me at 239-288-8518.
